First Two Volumes of Writing Spaces to Be Published in Winter '10
Writing Spaces received many great proposals for essays (over 100 proposals total) for our first CFP for first-year composition. Consequently, we will be publishing two volumes, one after the other, in January and March of 2010. Each volume will contain 25-30 essays on topics such as writing as a process, invention, primary research, collaboration, web 2.0 technologies, revision, citation, peer response, new media, rhetorical theory, writing centers, topic development, conducting secondary research, ethnography, metacognitive/reflective writing, and personal narrative writing, to name a few.
Even with putting two volumes into production, we still had many strong proposals that we could not include in the collection. Thanks again to everyone that contributed a proposal. We very much appreciate your time and effort in helping to begin the Writing Spaces open textbook project.
