The Writing Spaces editorial team, in collaboration with Parlor Press and the WAC Clearinghouse, are delighted to announce the publication of the third volume of Writing Spaces: Readings on Writing. Volumes in Writing Spaces: Readings on Writing offer multiple perspectives on a wide range of topics about writing. In each chapter, authors present their unique views, insights, and strategies for writing by addressing the undergraduate reader directly in concise and clear terms. The thirteen essays in Volume 3 represents a range of exigencies, contexts, and practices for writers. Broader chapters on the exigencies of writing include understanding visual rhetoric, multimedia composing. Chapters exploring writing contexts include understanding discourse communities, writing in global contexts, and constructing scholarly ethos in composition classrooms. We also offer a number of essays on writing practices including the rhetorical effects of punctuation, source credibility, stylistic concerns, and understanding meaningful peer response. All volumes in the series are published under a Creative Commons license and available for download here at the Writing Spaces website (http://www.writingspaces.org) as well as at the WAC Clearinghouse.
