Proposal Submission Deadline Extended to April 15th

The deadline for proposal submission to the first volume of Writing Spaces: Readings on Writing has been changed from April 10 to April 15. This is due to conflicting information that appeared in one of our earlier listserv posts announcing the project. We hope that the extension will give those contributors who had read that information the opportunity to work on the proposal for a few more days.

We do encourage early submissions, though.

predict[s] fundamental change is the impact of open educational resources on the textbook market. Traditional textbook publishers have held an iron lock on the industry’s model for too long, and universities have been tacitly complicit of the system. In the Web era, however, this oligopolistic business practice is imploding.

This is the website for Writing Space: Readings on Writing, a new book series that will contain peer-reviewed collections of essays composed by teachers for students, with each volume freely available for download under a Creative Commons license.
